Ana María joined ABG in 2017 and is a patent adviser in the biotechnology department, where her professional practice involves preparing patentability opinion, drafting patent applications as well as the subsequent prosecution of the patent applications before the different patent offices in the area of molecular and cellular biology, pharmacogenomics, gene therapy, immunology, animal models and diagnostic methods.
Before joining ABG, Ana María worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Astrobiology Center (INTA.CSIC), in the Molecular Evolution lab (2015-2017).and at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and Vanderbilt University (TN, EEUU) in the Ophthalmology field (2011-2014).
She completed her graduate studies in the Pharmacology Department School of Medicine at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
She has published papers in peer-reviewed journals (Gene Therapy y Journal of Biological Chemistry, etc.) and presented her work at international scientific meetings.
Ana María is a native Spanish speaker and is fluent in English.
