José Miguel Lissén joins ABG IP to lead the new “Legal & Litigation” department

We are pleased to announce that Jose Miguel Lissén has joined ABG IP as partner in charge of our new Legal & Litigation department.

José Miguel Lissén is a lawyer and a litigator specialized in Intellectual Property. Over his 20 years of experience, he has worked in very important cases of great relevance for the industry.

His practice is focused on advising clients on the protection and commercialization of intangible assets, the negotiation and drafting of license and assignment agreements of trademarks, patents, utility models, designs, copyrights and trade secrets, and filing judicial actions before the Courts regarding the infringement and validity of intellectual property rights and on unfair competition.

In the last years, he has advised clients in the fields of telecommunications and mobile devices, in relation to essential patents for technical standards, FRAND licenses and Court proceedings, for example during the Mobile World Congresses. Furthermore, he has a wide experience in contentious matters concerning medical devices, electromechanic and pharmaceutical products.

He is recognized by the main legal international publications (Chambers Global, Chambers Europe, IP Stars and Best Lawyers) as one of the main specialist in patent litigation and licensing in Spain. He is member of EPLAW and LES International, being the current co-president in the European Committee of EPLAW and he holds the position of secretary of LES Spain and Portugal.
