Juan Antonio joined ABG in 2020 and is a patent adviser in the Information & Communication Technology (ICT) Department. His practice focuses on patent prosecution and drafting, opinion work and patentability searches, mainly in the areas of computing, telecommunications, fintech and medtech.

Before joining ABG, Juan Antonio worked in several technological research projects for the Complutense University of Madrid, such as the PIMCD project for the computerization of the docent quality survey system (2013-2014), where he was in charge of the software programming; or MEGARA, the High Resolution Multi-Spectograph for Astronomy for the Gran Telescopio Canarias (2014-2015), participating in the design and implementation of the instrument’s control system.

Juan Antonio also developed part of the research of his doctoral thesis within the framework of the SALACOM project (Autonomous System for Localization and Action against Pollutants in the Sea) in collaboration with CEPSA, where he worked from 2015 to 2019 with a FPI scholarship.

Both, his doctoral thesis and his Master’s thesis were related to the design and implementation of and adaptive ground control center for autonomous vehicles.

Juan Antonio is a native Spanish speaker and he is fluent in English.
