In 2007, we opened ABG Intellectual Property Catalonia, our Barcelona office, from which we serve multinational corporations, SMEs, technology / research centres, universities, and other catalonian institutions in Barcelona (Barcelona city, Bellaterra, Sant Cugat del Vallès, Mataró, Rub, etc.), Tarragona, Lleida, and Girona.

Intellectual property services in Catalonia

Our Barcelona office advises clients on the design, optimisation, and enforcement of industrial and intellectual property rights portfolios. We draft and prosecute patent applications before the European Patent Office (EPO), international patent applications before the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO), the EPO, and the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (SPTO), as well as national patent applications before the OEPM and in other territories through our network of associates. We also offer multiple types of opinion work, such as patentability reports, infringement studies, and freedom to operate reports, among others.

We also assist Catalonian organisations in securing national and international protection for their trademarks, designs, and trade secrets.
