ABG IP has been granted, for the first time, the international HappyIndex®AtWork certification, issued by the European consultancy ChooseMyCompany. This recognition confirms that the firm has achieved high levels of satisfaction and engagement among its professionals, based on 100% verified and confidential feedback.
“This certification reflects the reality of ABG’s work environment: a place where collaboration, continuous learning and respect prevail. Having our professionals validate this is a great source of pride for us, and at the same time drives us to continue building a solid, inclusive and motivating culture for everyone,” says David M. Cortés, ABG partner and Head of Human Resources.
The credential is awarded after an evaluation process that measures, through 18 key questions, the employee experience in areas such as professional development, recognition, management, pride of belonging, and working conditions.
The team, ABG IP’s main asset
Since its foundation, the team has been the company’s key differentiator under the leadership of Managing Partner Juan Arias. Our professionals combine outstanding academic backgrounds, deep technical and legal knowledge, and industry experience. In their view, the synergy of these capabilities is the basis for the high-quality service the firm provides in protecting and enhancing its clients’ Intellectual and Industrial Property rights.
“Our goal has always been for every person at ABG to develop their full potential in an environment of trust, fairness and transparency,” Arias affirms.
To illustrate this, he points out that ABG brings together the largest team of European Patent Attorneys in Spain, with a total of 23; in addition, the firm counts ten Spanish Patent and Trademark Attorneys and 20 PhDs across different scientific and technical fields.
In its 2025 edition in Spain, more than 10,000 employees from over 150 companies took part in the HappyIndex®AtWork programs. Only 127 organizations met the required thresholds and obtained certification. The resulting barometer not only offers a diagnosis of workplace engagement in Spain, but also highlights companies that foster meaningful, motivating and responsible environments.
