For the second year in a row, Financial Times has ranked us in its “Europe’s Leading Patent Law Firms” ranking that was published today. This year ABG Intellectual Property figures ninth in the European ranking, with six special mentions in six areas of industrial expertise. We are very proud of being placed amongst the best and brightest in Europe, and well above other Spanish patent firm.

The guide is divided according to six innovative sectors and three classes for each of them: gold, silver or bronze. At ABG we are delighted to have been distinguished across all industrial areas:

  • Chemistry & Pharmacy: Gold
  • Biotechnology & Food: Silver
  • Materials and Nanotechnology: Silver
  • IT and Software: Silver
  • Mechanical Engineering: Bronze
  • Electrical Engineering: Bronze

This list is published in the world’s most important economic newspaper. It results from extensive research made by Financial Times and Statista following a strict methodology. More than 10,000 questionnaires were sent to patent attorneys, companies and to EPI members (Institute of Professional Representatives Before the European Patent Office). Between 4 February and 16 March 2020 more than 2,900 clients and colleagues submitted their recommendations.

The Financial Times ranking is a recognition of ABG´s team talent and professionalism across all industry sectors, as well as the quality service that our team  provides  to our clients which is up to the standards of the best firms. It also confirms our vocation to be a reference firm at European level.

We want to thank all ABG professionals and the trust clients place in us. Such wonderful results are a prime stimulus to continue improving every day and maintaining our commitment to quality and excellence.
