We’re delighted to share that our partners Juan Arias and Fernando Prieto have once again been included in IAM Global Leaders 2027.
This distinction recognises professionals who stand for their knowledge, their expertise and their ability to create value in the protection and management of innovation.
Juan and Fernando have built their careers in intellectual property over more than three decades, having witnessed and helped shape the profession at a time when there were far fewer specialists in Spain.
As ABG’s founding and managing partner, Juan Arias has played a pivotal role in the firm’s development, while also leading our Chemistry, Materials and Pharmaceuticals departments.
Fernando was instrumental in establishing the firm’s Electromechanical Department, which later evolved into our Engineering, Physics and ICT departments, now recognised for their expertise in protecting technological innovation.
Both have also dedicated a significant part of their careers to mentoring new generations of IP professionals and leading high-performing teams.
Many of the specialists who have worked with them now hold prominent positions and enjoy strong reputations across the profession.
This distinction reflects a career defined by rigour, generosity, leadership and a steadfast commitment to the highest standards of client service.
