Juan Arias, co-founder of ABG Intellectual Property, talked about “Securing Industrial and Intellectual Property protection and avoiding infringement”, which he presented in September in the Vitafoods Virtual Expo. This conference is considered the largest international event in the nutraceutical industry and, according to data provided by the fair itself, more than 13 thousand participants and 150 presenting companies gathered during the five days it was held.

In his masterclass, Juan Arias started by reviewing the key aspects of each of the protection modalities of Intellectual Property. After commenting on the importance of good management of intangible assets, his presentation centred on IP infringement, both from the point of view of the owner of the rights and the need to ensure that rights are not infringed by third parties before launching a product on the market by performing a Freedom to Operate analysis.

This session is available on the Vitafood Insights website. You can watch it by clicking here.
