ABG IP informs that the EUIPO has recently created in its web page an information hub on Brexit in order to help right holders and representatives of European Union Trademarks and Community Designs to be prepared in case of an eventual “hard Brexit”.
The hub explains how the EUIPO will address Brexit and includes links to relevant publications in this matter such as:
- The Notice to Stakeholders issued by the European Commission and the EUIPO
- Frequently asked Questions and Answers on impact of the United Kingdom’s withdrawal from the European Union on the European Union trade mark and the Community design
- Communication of the Executive Director of the Office of 22 February 2019 on the impact of the United Kingdom’s withdrawal from the European Union on certain aspects of the practice of the Office
- EUIPO General Additional Guidance for Right Holders and Representatives
It contains, as well, additional information in the form of Questions and Answers which has been organised in three groups:
- General Impact on IP Rights
