The startup Nucaps Nanotechnology, a client of ABG IP, has become one of the one hundred finalists of the South Summit 2019 competition, a leading innovation platform focused on business opportunities that bring together the main entrepreneurs from Southern Europe and Latin America. Nucaps has been chosen among more than 3,700 inscriptions, including 62% of international startups. The objective of this initiative is to expose entrepreneurial talent to the international investment community, in addition to promote innovation.

Nucaps Nanotechnology is a company based in Navarra which offers a new encapsulation technology for the industrial development of natural nanocapsules and biocapsules for the oral administration of bioactive substances and probiotics. These nanocapsules protect the active ingredients, increase the shelf life and stability and also improve their solubility and absorption, thus being very suitable for nutritional and health applications.

A committee about 150 experts has selected the finalists, considering innovation, differential aspects, feasibility, equipment and interest for potential investors, among other criteria. The projects selected to participate in the South Summit will have to make a first presentation on October 2nd and 3rd before a jury composed by the main investors. The startup with the highest score within each group will move on to the final round, competing against the rest of those selected to become the 2019 South Summit Winner.

At ABG IP we are very proud to work with Nucaps Nanotechnology, and we wish them the greatest success with their project in this competition.
